Switzerland on the European horizon

The Ceccarelli Group's international project is aimed at Europe and has achieved moderate success so far

which gives us hope for possible future developments - says Stefano Gambardella - The growth has been important, so much so that we have managed to develop activities in all the countries that record a significant impact of imports of products from companies in our territory of reference, the Triveneto: Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and Austria. "Switzerland has recently joined the group of nations, a market that Ceccarelli covers by relying, as in all other cases, on qualified and top-level partners.

The international soul of Ceccarelli Group is strengthened, the Friulian giant of transport and logistics born in 1979 on the initiative of Bernardino Ceccarelli and today a national and European reference point for the very active companies of the Triveneto. We talked about Ceccarelli's cross-border strategies with the experienced manager Stefano Gambardella, 54, from five International Operations Director, "The Ceccarelli Group's international project, launched for five years, is aimed at Europe and has achieved moderate success so far which gives us hope for possible future developments - begins Stefano Gambardella - Growth has been important, so much so that we have been able to develop activities in all countries that have a significant impact of imports of products from companies in our territory of reference, the Triveneto: Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and Austria ".

Switzerland has recently joined the group of nations, a market that Ceccarelli covers by relying, as in all other cases, on qualified and top-level partners. "We collect the goods in the Triveneto and deliver them through our qualified partners in each of these countries - adds Gambardella - And of course we also do the reverse route from abroad to Italy. We handle general cargo transport, from wine to production machinery. and the processing of iron and wood. In between there is everything, from chemical products to iron and steel products and household items and much more. We export everything that Triveneto produces to Europe ".

DYNAMIC BUSINESS

The Triveneto is a land of entrepreneurs who are shrewd or determined to build a business oriented towards innovation and open to the potential of the market. Their products are appreciated abroad, representing the best of "made in Italy". "Historically, the Triveneto is a major exporter. Here exports have a greater share than imports - specifies Gambardella. As regards the current trends, the latest data available tell us that up to the month of May, exports recorded a constant growth of 30 per cent, while in June there was a small slowdown which, although not worrying, nevertheless sent an economic signal to our geographical area. We are waiting to see what will happen in autumn, from September onwards.

There are a series of contingent problems: first of all the lack of drivers, taking into account that drivers of Ukrainian nationality, who make up a substantial part of the European total, have left their jobs to return to their country and face the war. It must also be considered that the international crisis has led to a sharp rise in the costs of raw materials: prices have increased incredibly, in the order of 30-10 per cent on each route. Up to now, the Triveneto economy has managed to bear these increases, but from now on we don't know what can happen. Companies are waiting to understand what the economic situation will be, without having any certainty about the future because there are no stable elements to make adequate forecasts ".

Ceccarelli Group is always at the side of client companies, to which it offers informed advice and an integrated logistics structure of the highest level able to manage even the most demanding phases of the activity. Within this modern and efficient operating structure, a leading role is that of warehouses, a sector subject to continuous investments that aim to expand its potential. To give just one example of Ceccarelli's dynamism in the logistics field, the new operations center with offices and warehouse of the Padua branch has been operational since the end of April, extending the range of action of the Friulian player in the cross docking sector. The adjacent new outpost Padova 2 was thus joined to the historic buildings of Via England, in the Interporto area, called Padova 1. The fledgling facility was created to support the increased market demand. In this way, all the complex daily distribution activities of the last mile have come together in the new warehouse, while Padova 1 will concentrate on making its national and international transport activities even more efficient. "The company is very focused on the international market because Italy has been experiencing a period of stagnation for several years, having no peaks or increases in production - explains Stefano Gambardella - On the contrary, the international market is an expanding market where manages to invest and create development. This implies a policy of expansion and reorganization of warehouses. We can say that Ceccarelli's investments follow a double track: integrated logistics on the one hand, international on the other ". Also in nearby Switzerland, Ceccarelli Group ensures a premium service to all client companies. "We collaborate with one of the most important freight forwarders in the Swiss country - Gambardella continues - The collaboration, which is not exclusively, is well motivated: they needed a partner for the Triveneto companies interested in exporting to Switzerland and therefore we had to cover the market ensuring our presence. As always, Ceccarelli has carefully chosen the partner, who among other things has an internal customs office useful for the fast and efficient handling of all the essential bureaucratic part in a country like Switzerland that does not adhere to the 'European Union. Customers are calm and this is a reason of utmost satisfaction for us ". The partners that make up Ceccarelli's European network is made up of solid and established companies: "We rely on them because they know the area in which they operate very well - continues Stefano Gambardella - Just as they are specialists in their territory, we pride ourselves on being specialists from the Triveneto. Ceccarelli is increasingly becoming a reference point in our territory: the strategy of expanding the warehouses allows us to be even more important in the Triveneto: rather than making investments in territories we do not know, we prefer to invest in the territory we know. and become more and more efficient and effective. At the same time, we rely on qualified partners to cover the other territories ".

The fleet of vehicles engaged in the international operations of Ceccarelli Group is made up of about 300 units that move along the European roads connecting Italy and abroad. "In the specific case of Switzerland, we ensure daily departures, concludes Gambardella - Thanks to qualified partners, we are able to carry out a highly competitive and efficient activity. In Ceccarelli's general budget, international operations now occupy at least a quarter of the total and are destined to grow. We are already recording an increase of 30 to 35 percent annually. "
