Guide for shipping to Europe

In the event that the shipment is destined for abroad, in addition to the considerations made for shipments to Italy, it is also necessary to take into account the following specifications regarding the accompanying documents:

- For goods shipped within the European Union, the DDT or the accompanying invoice and the completion of the CMR are sufficient.

- For goods shipped outside the European Union, the original invoice plus 4 copies is required.

 In order to properly process customs procedures for shipments to countries that are not members of the European Union, it is necessary to indicate all the following information on the invoice:

  • name, full address and VAT number of the sender;
  • name, full address of the recipient;
  • date and number of the document;
  • quantity of each item contained in each package;
  • complete and detailed description of the goods with relative customs tariff (HS CODE);
  • unit value for each single item and total value of the shipment;
  • billing currency;
  • the country where the goods were produced;
  • reason for export;
  • net weight and gross weight of the goods (if several HS CODEs, it will be necessary to provide the weights for each customs code indicated);
  • provide a telephone number of the recipient and the name of a contact person;
  • indicate the terms of delivery according to the INTERCOMS 2020 regulation;

Each nation can request additional documentation according to the type of goods exported.
